Hi, I’m Jose Mayans.

People here on the Island of Formentera call me „Pepe de Sa Vinya”, thats because of a restaurant I owned and everyone knows me from there, but which has now passed to my son Sebas.

As a native of Formentera who has worked in the tourism industry for most of his life, I know every hidden tourist spot or spectacular attraction on the island and on the neighbouring Spanish island of Ibiza in the majestic Mediterranean Sea. So if you ever visit Formentera and are looking for a secluded sandy beach, the perfect sightseeing scene, places with amazing sunset, or an exotic restaurant, you have found the right person.

I am also a host here on Airbnb, and I have comfortable accommodation that will make your stay in Formentera memorable. Some of the apartments are situated in the centre of Es Pujols, the main tourist city on the island, while the others nestle on the other side of the island . Airbnb hosting, for me, means much more than simply offering guests a place to stay while in Formentera. It’s also about the experiences and beautiful memories we all share. This is why I always go the extra mile to ensure my guests feel at home and enjoy the best of Formentera while at my place.

Also, did I mention I speak four languages? That’s Spanish, Catalan (a language unique to the north of Spain and the balearic islands), French, and German. I also have a fair grasp of Italian and English, and I’m open to learning new languages. So whichever part of the world you are from, you are welcome to my home and I would be very excited to hear about your trips, cultures, and interests.

Some of my own interests include cycling and cooking. I can show you the best trails on the island, and I don’t mind preparing a nice Spanish meal with my guests. I also love nature and have an ecological garden at my house here in Formentera. The name of the House and garden is „Can Gall”.
